Ian Brown

Ian Brown, host of both CBC’s "Talking Books" and Canada's pre-eminent documentary television series, Human Edge and The View from Here.  He is an award winning journalist and broadcaster with six gold National Magazine Awards and a National Newspaper Award.  He has worked as a business writer at Maclean’s and The Financial Post; as a roving national feature reporter for The Globe and Mail; and as host of Later the Same Day (which he created) and the internationally-renowned current affairs program Sunday Morning at the CBC.

The author of two acclaimed and best-selling books, Freewheeling (winner of the $10,000 National Business Book Award), and Man Overboard, he is also co-founder and contributing editor of Open Letters, a new on-line magazine of personal journalism written in the form of letters and correspondence (http://openletters.net/).
