Robert Currie

Robert Currie is Saskatchewan's poet laureate for 2007 and 2008. His poems have won three first prizes in the Saskatchewan Writers Guild Literary Awards, plus a third prize in the CBC National Literary Competition. He once edited and published Salt magazine, and has taught creative writing at the Saskatchewan Summer School of the Arts and the Sage Hill Writing Experience.

Recipient of a Founders Award from the Saskatchewan Writers Guild for his contributions to Saskatchewan Literature and the provinces literary community, he has had poems and stories published in 45 anthologies. His most recent books are a novel, Teaching Mr. Cutler, and a poetry collection, Running in Darkness.
