Saskatchewan, Canada ![]() Joy Fielding was born and raised in Toronto in 1945 and went to the University of Toronto, where she received her B.A. in English. After appearing in the well-received student movie, "Winter Kept Us Warm." her acting ambitions took her to Hollywood where she got a part in an episode of "Gunsmoke". She returned to Toronto and her first love--writing. She has been married to her lawyer husband for almost 25 years, and they have 2 daughters, Shannon, age 22, and Annie, age 19. She has written several novels, including Kiss Mommy Goodbye, See Jane Run, Don't Cry Now and The Other Woman. Most of her books deal with domestic horror. Her latest book is Puppet.
