Chris Fisher

Chris Fisher's new book, Third and Long, is a collection of short stories about sports in small towns.  Third and Long was published this spring by Coteau Books.  Chris is the author of two previous short fiction collections, Sun Angel and Voices in the Wilderness. Sun Angel was a winner in the first-ever Saskatchewan Book Awards. Chris’s stories were featured in an edition of Coming Attractions, Oberon Press’s influential anthology of new writers. His stories have appeared in anthologies and in literary and other periodicals.

Chris Fisher grew up in a half-dozen small southern Saskatchewan communities, and after a stint in Regina, moved back to another one, Lumsden. He plays and coaches both hockey and baseball, and works for the City of Regina.
