Saskatchewan, Canada Sheree Fitch Sheree Fitch who is a poet, lecturer and storyteller has shared her work with children and adults on television and radio, in magazines and newspapers, at children's festivals and on tour across Canada. She has been the recipient of several important awards for her work. In 1990 she won the Atlantic Booksellers Choice award for Sleeping Dragons All Around, and in 1993 the Mr. Christie's Book Award for There Were Monkeys in the Kitchen. Her first book, Toes in My Nose, published in 1987, is still a bestseller. As well as writing books for children, Sheree has written poetry for adults. With all the wisdom, humour and joy we’ve come to expect from Sheree Fitch, Kiss the Joy As It Flies marks her move from children’s literature to adult fiction. In a weekly column/cartoon she satirizes some of the issues affecting women today. In 2000, she received the Vicky Metcalf Award for A Body of Work. She currently resides in
