The combination of Kathy Stochmal and Michelle Boudreau has been compared to a fusion of Patsy Cline and Emmylou Harris. Their powerful harmonies and stylin’ guitar rhythms create a fresh take on the classic country songs they perform. An exceptional vocalist and key songwriter for the group, Kathy’s experience takes in a wide range of musical genres, from jazz to gospel to roots originals. Most recently, Kathy was the lead singer and sometimes perucussionist of the world beat band, “Skin and Bone”. The intensity of her vocals and live performances comes from a deep connection to the music, whether she has written the song or is performing ones she love; it is a part of who she is.

Inspired by folk, punk rock, blues, country and many other genres, Michelle’s performance experience is also diverse. Michelle has released three solo independent CD’s and is currently in the process of a fourth project, showcasing her outstanding vocals and distinct songwriting. Bringing a positive energy to the duo, Michelle stretches and performs with the ease of an extreme talent. The multi-talented singer/songwriter always immerses herself in the music of the moment and she is a powerhouse.

Kathy and Michelle look to classic entertainers such as Johnny Cash, Kitty Wells, Hank Williams Sr. and Wilf Carter for their direction and inspiration and deep connection to the music. Reminiscent of the great country and western stars of yesteryear, the honesty of great songs, dynamic voices and an energetic stage show, will bring a tear to your eye and a tap to your toe.
