Dave Glaze is the author of the Pelly stories: Pelly, Waiting for Pelly, and the upcoming Save Pelly.  He also wrote Who took Henry and Mr. Z?, a finalist in the children’s category of the Arthur Ellis Crime Writers Awards.  The Light-fingered Gang is the first novel in his new historical fiction series, The Mackenzie Davis Files

Dave Glaze was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, and grew up in towns in Alberta, Ontario, and Saskatchewan.  At various times he’s made his living as a journalist, a social worker, a landscaper, and a lumber mill worker, but for most of his working life he’s been a teacher and teacher-librarian in elementary schools. He has written for and helped to edit a number of magazines. Besides working on his own writing, he enjoys giving readings, presentations, and writing workshops to children and adults
