Steven Heighton

Steven Heighton is the author, most recently, of the best-selling novel, The Shadow Boxer.  His work has been translated into several languages, has been internationally anthologized, and has been nominated for the Governor General’s Award, the Trillium Award, the Push Cart Prize, and Britain’s W.H. Smith Award, for best book of the year. 

He has received the Air Canada Prize, the Gerald Lampert Award, a Gold Medal for Fiction in the National Magazine Awards, and, in 2002, the Petra Kenney Prize. Anansi will publish a new collection of his poems, The Address Book, in 2004, when he will be the Jack McClelland Writer-in-Residence at Massey College, University of Toronto.
