Murray Malcolm

Murray Malcolm was born in Saskatchewan in 1944, grew up at Bulyea, went to school first in a one-room country school which has since been used as a granary. He completed high school in a much bigger school in Bulyea. Murray studied medical technology and, later, biochemistry at the University of Regina.

He spent eight years with the RCMP Crime lab in Regina, taught clinical chemistry at Kelsey in Saskatoon for ten years and then returned to the RCMP Lab in Regina in 1990.  Murray and his wife took a transfer to RCMP Ottawa in 2001, thinking it was a suitable adventure to finish off a career.  “We were right, and we retired back to the sunshine of Saskatoon in 2004”.

Throughout this time, Murray worked at writing, always as a hobby, more than anything else.  Nonetheless, that hobby produced five published books - a fact that still pleases him.
