Phyllis Rathwell
Rathwell
Hatched on a hot rock between the Cypress Hills and the Great Sand Hills of Southwest Saskatchewan, Phyllis is a “been-there, done that” rural woman who tells about the reality of working with men, kids, and critters. Her sharp wit takes aim at any and all of the above, as she regales audiences with the tales of wrecks and faulty reasoning that so often make up a part of a rural woman’s daily life.

When not bothering cows, riding fences, bouncing pot holes, wrestling gates, Phyllis can be found spouting poetry at Cowboy Poetry gatherings in Western Canada or Montana, Utah or Idaho. To support the above mentioned habits, and put groceries on the table for her cows, she is a schoolmarm in Rockglen, Saskatchewan.
