Stephen Scriver

Stephen Scriver is a teacher and poet originally from Wolseley, Saskatchewan.  His poems have been published in several Canadian journals including Grain, CVII, Writing, NeWest Review, Event and This Magazine.  His poems have also appeared in the Coteau anthologies Number One Northern, 100% Cracked Wheat and A Sudden Radiance.  

Scriver is perhaps best known for his hockey poetry collections All Star Poet! and More! All Star Poet, both published by Coteau Books.  Under the Wings was published in 1991.  

Not one to be typecast, Stephen Scriver has written three film scripts, winning a bronze medal at the Houston Film Festival for Missing on the Way Back.   His latest work is a play, Letters in Wartime, which will be performed in an abbreviated version by local actors.

Scriver lives in Edmonton with his wife, Barbara, and three children.
