Saskatchewan, Canada ![]() Lois Simmie grew up in small town Saskatchewan, but now resides in Saskatoon. She always wanted to write but didn’t get started until she was almost 40 years old. She worked at many jobs and later went to university. Lois Simmie has written and published in almost all literary genres. Her book, Mister Got to Go and Arnie won the Saskatoon Book Award in 2002. Her latest publication is What I’m Trying to Say is Goodbye. She is the author of five children’s books, four books of adult fiction, a historical true crime, radio plays and a children’s play for live theatre. Her first novel, They Shouldn’t Make You Promise, has recently been reprinted.
