She spends most of her time at her home on Galiano Island, with a few winter months in Victoria. She has a passion for travel and for language. She has been a member of the Writers’ Union since the beginning, a member of PEN Canada and the Writers’ Guild of Canada. She writes by longhand and has a wonderful typist who lives in Montreal. Audrey says that when she sends what she hopes is the final draft to her, it’s like sending the children to camp! |

Born in the United
States, Audrey married in England and emigrated to Canada’s west coast in 1959.
Her first published story appeared in The Atlantic in 1965 and she
is now at work on her 18th book.
