| What is it? |
An intensive 5 day workshop for teen writers
between 14 and 18 with an instructor and a group of peers. The workshop consists of
writing exercises, talks, critiques and readings and young writers will
work with a professional writer to develop their skills.
|
| Why go? |
If you have creative writing ability and would
like to develop it further in a supportive atmosphere with other young
writers from around the province under the guidance of an experienced
professional, this is the place for you. The camp will dovetail
with a fabulous festival featuring some of Canada's top writers.
|
| How much? |
There is absolutely no charge for the writing
workshop. Participants arrange their own transportation,
accommodation and meals. Billets may be arranged on request.

| Where? |
In the Moose Jaw Public Library - Art Museum
complex in Moose Jaw's scenic Crescent Park, a block from downtown, the
spa, and an outdoor pool.
|
| How do I get in? |
Send the registration form below, include a typed
letter stating what you hope to gain from attending and four pages of
your best writing. Follow the Guidelines for Submissions
below. Selections will be done by an impartial jury of
writers. Decisions are final.

| How are people selected? |
Participants are selected by impartial juries
upon review of the material submitted. Decisions are final. Enrollment
in all courses is limited. Stand-by positions may be allocated.

Guidelines for submissions:
- Four pages typed, double-spaced for
fiction, single-spaced for poetry, one side only on 8½ x 11
white paper. Published
work may be submitted as a photocopy (8½ x 11).
- Use paper clips, not staples,
plastic holders or binders.
- Do not send more pages than requested: surplus pages will not
be considered.
- If you are accepted, submitted material
will be forwarded to your instructor.
- Work that does not meet the above criteria may
not be considered.
- Materials will not be returned. Please keep a copy of your
submission.
- Deadline:
May 15, 2008.
- Late applications may not be processed.
- If you are sending materials close to deadlines, please consider
Priority or Express Post, or courier to address below.
- Faxed or electronic applications are not accepted.
