Listen To Dis

Since it was founded by Artistic Director (Traci Foster) of Listen To Dis’ Community & Arts Organization in 2017, The Dripping Honeys music ensemble has made its mark in Saskatchewan as one of the most sought-after performance companies to have hit the province. While the organization has built a solid reputation for its innovative programming, the ensemble has become known for their vibrant compelling performances. They are a provincially-recognized disability art ensemble.

The idea for the ensemble started in 2017, during the Globe Theatre production of Mine to Have. As the accompanying musicians played, a certain artistic alchemy, soul, and sound emerged and the ensemble was born. They have continued to rehearse and perform together since and in 2022 began to tour Saskatchewan. They have made it as far North as Pinehouse Lake and Stanley Mission which is a feat for a Crip company. They were featured at the re-opening of the historically relevant performance venue Darke Hall (Regina), TheatreCon 2023 (Saskatoon), REALM Gala 2024 (Regina), and many many more places. They have played in over 30 Saskatchewan locations, following the pandemic, and continue to perform for residents at assisted living and senior homes in Regina throughout the year, as a volunteer service - an average of 21 performances yearly.

Based out of Regina, Saskatchewan, The Dripping Honeys features Ammanda Zelinski on lead vocals and clarinet; music director Ed Peck on percussion; Emil Schmuck on harmonica and vocals; Finn Burke on bass guitar and vocals; Jason Yuen on keyboard and vocals and Shaylee Rosnes as monologuist. The ensemble works with guest artists such as singer songwriter Kyrie Kristmanson (Paris, France), J.J. Voss (Regina), and Nathan Coppens (Saskatoon) - all Saskatchewan born talent. They also feature guest appearances from The Other Ordinary theatre company actors Natasha Urkow (Edmonton), John Loeppky ( Saskatoon), Tori Lougheed (Regina), Kelsey Culbert (Regina) and Nicole Bear (Regina).

This dazzling montage of d/Disabled, Mad, and neurodivergent artists are proud to represent disability art in all of its glamorous glory.
