Bio: David Homel was born in Chicago and now lives in Montreal, where he first became a writer. In 1988, he published his first novel and has been going strong ever since, winning prizes for his fiction in Canada and Europe. He has been translated into languages as varied as French and Mandarin Chinese. In 2006 with Marie-Louise Gay, he began writing for younger readers. He also works as a literary translator, arts journalist and documentary filmmaker.
