Elinor Florence

Elinor Florence’s novel Finding Flora, about women homesteaders, was a Canadian bestseller in 2025. The author grew up on a farm near North Battleford and attended the University of Saskatchewan before launching her journalism career. She worked for newspapers in all four Western provinces, and wrote for Reader’s Digest Canada, before turning to fiction. A member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia, Elinor lives in the mountain resort of Invermere.
