fanny kearse is a Black, Queer, Jewish, Disabled human whose multidisciplinary practice spans performance, writing, and curation. A recovering people pleaser, late bloomer, dreamer, and community tender, their art traces pathways of self-reclamation; where grief becomes a guide, pain opens portals to the divine, and room is made for the joy of unbecoming. They won the Harold Green Theatre Monologue Competition in 2021, published their first book of poetry & prose, umi's prayer in 2023 and co-produced the Telus Storyhive docuseries, Glimmers in 2025. fanny is an artist-in-residence at Maquinna elementary school, a board member with Curtain Razors Art Collective, All Bodies Dance Project, and Black & Rural Arts and is an organizer of transcendental community gatherings. she is living out the wildest of her dreams with her co-creator at life & art, Que, on the unceded, unsurrendered territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations.
